How far would you go to save a stuffed animal? Based on the popular book by Mo Willems, Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical, is a silly story about young Trixie, who loses her Knuffle Bunny on a family trip to the laundromat. Will she find him, or will Knuffle Bunny be lost for good?

The Playhouse cast includes Payton Boesch, Vivian Rosalie Coleman, Chelsea Flynn, Shelby Kephart, Nora Lynch, Lou Ramsey, and JP Ungs. Knuffle Bunny is directed by Bridget Grace Sheaff with music direction by Theodore Bartemes and Nancy Cobb, choreography by Marquis Bundy, scenic design by Sam Stephen, costume design by Jessica Van Essen, and lighting design by JP Ungs.

The Playhouse mission, as one of Iowa's largest and oldest producing theatres, is to create extraordinary, shared experiences through live theatre. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
