Weekend Comedy
Final weekend canceled
A volunteer working backstage on Weekend Comedy tested positive for COVID-19. This individual had not been in The Playhouse for 11 days, the four individuals who had contact with this individual were notified, and no staff members or volunteers are symptomatic.
It is our policy that any exposure requires a negative test before returning to the building. We have canceled this week’s final performances of Weekend Comedy. A video of opening night of Weekend Comedy is available on-demand, Nov. 6-8.
We will continue our rigorous daily cleaning in preparation for I and You performances, Nov. 11-15.
Thank you for your understanding.
Weekend Comedy finds a middle-aged couple and a young couple accidentally renting the same cottage for a three-day weekend. After the couples decide to share the cottage, a clash of generations ensues. Jeanne and Sam Bobrick fill their script with laughter and perceptive looks at aging, marriage, and happiness.
Weekend Comedy will be performed without intermission.
Weekend Comedy will be performed in repertory with I and You. To perform in repertory means to present a series of plays over a given span of time. These shows will alternate weeks, so look at the schedule closely.
